Paul Newcomb Obituary

NEWCOMB JR, Paul Russell, age 81, of Sebring, died August 13, 2005, at Bay Pines, Fla. He was born in Ambridge, Pa., a graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. and did graduate work in physics at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. Paul served for 13 years in the U.S. Navy and retired from the National Academy of Science, Washington, D.C. on Research in Operations and Mine Warfare in 1990, moving to Florida from Braintree, Mass. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Sebring. He is survived by his daughters, Meriel Brodic of Raleigh, N.C., Elizabeth Newcomb of Taunton, Mass., Juliana Richardson of Lakeland, Fla., Catherine White of Braintree, Mass.; son, Paul R. Newcomb III of Acton, Mass., Patrick J. Newcomb of Rockland, N.H. and Mark J. Newcomb of Lakeland, Fla.; eight grandchildren. Visitation will be 8-9 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2005, at Morris Funeral Chapel, with service to follow at 9 p.m. Military graveside honors will be at 11:30 a.m., Friday, at Florida Natio nal Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.
