Thomas DeBrocke Obituary

DeBROCKE, Thomas Henry Sr., 60, of Sun City Center, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2005. He was born April 23, 1944, in Jackson Heights, Long Island, N.Y., to Benjamin H. and Rhoda Geneva (Foust) DeBrocke Jr., and was raised in the Methodist faith. On May 8, 1946, his mother wrote in his baby book that Thomas started talking and doesn't stop, and 58 years later, that statement held true. He enjoyed the game of golf and spent many years playing and instructing before venturing into golf equipment sales and marketing. Prior to his retirement, he worked for EZ-Go and Club Car and had been licensed in Florida since 1964 as a class A Professional Golf Association member. He is survived by his first wife, Nancy Hastings, and their son, Thomas S. (Rebecca) DeBrocke of Tampa; his second wife, Tara Lynn Turley, and their two sons, Benjamin H. (Heather) DeBrocke III and David H. (Karen) DeBrocke, both of Riverview; three grandchildren, Danielle, Dylan and Derek DeBrocke; aunt, Alyce Prell of Clair M el, Fla.; and several cousins. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2005, at the chapel of Coleman & Ferguson Funeral Home in Dade City with visiting one hour prior. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery in Dade City.

To The Family of Thomas DeBrocke,

I am sorry at your loss. I am sorry that Tom will no longer be here to share himself with those that he so dearly loved.

I just happened to find out that Tom passed away last April. I had seen him off and on in passing, for a couple of years. Not having seen him lately made me wonder "where" he was? Then I started doing a "search".

Tom was very special to me and I will certainly never forget him.
