1933 - 2021

HAYES, THOMAS CHARLES "TC" US Army 88, of Belleair, Florida passed away suddenly March 9, 2021. TC was born March 3, 1933 in Stuart, Florida, to Beulah and Dewey Hayes, who predecease him. He is survived by his wife, Karmen; daughters, Fayanne Hayes, Kalyn Brandewie, and Dawn Wernette; and grandsons, Beckett and Ben Brandewie. He studied Engineering and Architecture graduating with a Bachelors of Arts degree from Florida Southern College where he studied under Frank Lloyd Wright. His education was briefly interrupted when he was drafted into the Army, where he played Reveille on his bugle. A native Floridian and southern gentleman, TC's affectionate nicknames were "Huck" and "the world's most interesting man". His knowledge of Florida plants, animals, and waters was extensive and provided many memorable stories he readily shared. He was multi-talented and has been described as one of the kindest father, husband, neighbor, friend that could ever be had. TC could always be counted on to lend a helping hand to all in need. A very special thanks to Rick Califano, best friend Pickens Talley and all family and dear friends who lovingly cared so much for TC. A Celebration of TC's life is planned in the coming weeks.
