Virginia Kirshy Obituary

KIRSHY, Virginia "Ginny," 70, of Spring Hill, Fla., passed Thursday, August 27, 2009, at HPH Hospice in Brooks- ville, Fla. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. She retired as a registered nurse after working at Spring Hill Regional and Bayonet Point Hospitals and was successful with Tupperware sales for 14 years. Virginia was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, friend and caregiver to so many. Virginia is survived by her husband, Bob of Spring Hill, Fla.; son, Bobby and his wife, Clorinda Kirshy of Hopkinton, Mass.; daughter, Elizabeth and her husband, Marty Narverud of Brooksville; daughter, Ginger and her husband, John Mentzer of Sarasota, Fla.; daughter, Karole and her husband, Kevin Fitzgerald of Spring Hill, Fla.; grandchildren, Alexander, Olivia, Nicholas, Zachery, Gabrielle, Emily, Jack and Kevin Jr; sister, Francis and her husband, Paul Haliotis of New Jersey; brother, Tom and his wife, Mary Kay McGowan of Spring Hill; brother, Michael and his wife, Mary Ann McGowan of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and sister-in-law, Anna McGowan of Brooklyn, N.Y. Friends will be received 6-8 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2009, and 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2009, at 280 Mariner Blvd. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2009, at Christ the Savior Greek Orthodox Church with Fr. Stanley S. Harakas officiating. Ginny will be laid to rest at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ginny' s memory can be made to Alzheimer' s Research and Hernando-Pasco Hospice. Brewer & Sons (352) 688-4991
