Our deepest sympathy to the family of a very wonderful man

It will be difficult think of the Coligny Chapter or the Florida Huguenot Society without the advice and participation of "Bill" Staples. For the ten years it has been our privilege to know him he was always a spark plug for ideas and actions to advance this group to honor his ancestor - William Vassel, who was so active in early Massachusetts Bay Colony. Bill was a most worthy descendent.

A great thinker and straight shooter, the good of the order as well as we personally will suffer his loss along with his family. This expresssion can only document a portion of our feelings of sorrow at his passing to that family.

All members of his family and his many friends will miss Bill, but we have many fond memories of him. He had a long and producive life, and he was an active member of the Mayflower Society where I met and came to admire him.
