Michael J. Steininger

Michael J. Steininger, 26, of Taunton passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. He was born in Taunton the son of Jeffrey and Karen (Castro) Steininger of Taunton. He graduated from Bristol Plymouth High School class of 2010 and from Rob Roy Academy in 2011. Michael worked as a Master Barber at the Broadway Barber Shop in Taunton. He loved to fish, the outdoors, spending time with his family and friends, especially his dog pickles. Survivors besides his parents are a brother: Jacob F. Steininger of Taunton; maternal grandparents: James and Eleanor Castro of East Taunton; a paternal grandmother: Eleanor Furtado and her husband Vincent Furtado of Newport; a step mother: Paula Amaral of Taunton; a step sister: Tasha-Raye Littig of Middleboro; a step brother: Joseph Amaral of Taunton; aunts and uncles: Judith Webb and her husband Stewart of East Taunton; Cheryl and Lee Barbarossa of Dracut; Karin Wood of Fall River; Brendan and Nicole Furtado of Coventry and Chris Furtado of Houston; cousins: Alicia Webb, Jordan and Zachary Furtado, Lee Barbarossa, Matthew and Patrick McCusker; Joshua Messier and Nathan Steininger. He was the paternal grandson of the late Frederick Steininger; nephew of the late Lorna Kelleher and cousin of the late Eric Barbarossa. His Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 10am in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
