Andy was a wonderful brother-in-law and we had many great times as a family. We have fond memories and funny stories. The last day I prayed that he would not suffer and my prayers were answered. The end came so quickly that it left us reeling but it was not about us, it was about Andy! He loved my sister, Pat and this would have been their 50th Anniversary year. He made his children and grandchildren feel like they were number one. I will miss he and my husband jingling their pocket change to Pat and I to say, it's time to get this show on the road! A large void has been created by his death but he will never be forgotten. He was a good kind person and a caring human being. Love from your Martha Stewart!

Dear Pat and Family,
We go back many years to when we lived across the street and we shared holidays, picnics and parties. Our kids played together and the memories go on and on. Andy was a unique and special man, a fine parent, special husband and a very good friend.
Pat, your loss is profound and please know that my prayers and spiritual support come with this message.
With love,
Ardath Hunter, Sarasota, FL

I saw Andy and Pat only a couple of times in the past twenty-some years but I fondly remember the fun times we had with our young families in the late 60's and 70's as early residents in the Greenbriar subdivision. He will be missed by his wonderful family, his many friends and the Northern Virginia community he was so active in.

Dear Lawless Family,

To know Andy was to love him. What a wonderful opportunity and pleasure it was to work for him. He was not only a mentor, but I considered him a dear friend. His smile was always contagious. His words of wisdom were always welcomed. I have grown professionally and have modeled the way I run my Brokerage Firm from a lot of the good sound advice that Andy had given me. His door was always open even after I was no longer with the company. And yes indeed, he always made me feel important! I once lost a bracelet in a classroom at NVAR. Andy shook the place up until it was returned. It was brand new and a gift from my husband, so I was very upset. To Andy it may as well been worth a million and once belonged to the Queen. I was one of his agents and he felt that I was important enough to help find that bracelet. And by golly, he found it. I never expected to see it again. He was a mover and a shaker and a good honest man. If he told you he was going to do something, he did it. Thank you, Andy for your guidance, your friendship and your quick warm genuine smile. I will always remember you with respect and fondness.
My Prayers and condolences go out to the Lawless Family.

Dear Lawless Family:

Andy was a warm wonderful man for whom we have an enormous amount of respect. His friendship, support, guidance, love of life, and general open-hearted personality were an inspiration to us and will continue. He was a square dealing straight shooter who provided opportunity to those in need, including ourselves on many occasions. Working for him was a pleasure, and knowing him is an honor. You have all our love and sympathy. As we know from losing our father, please take solice in the fact that he will still be with you daily. It is a profound loss, but your love for one another will get you through.

Dear Pat, Meg, Drew, Beth, Stephanie and Families,

You are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. We loved him very much, too, as did so many others. As Betty Anne said to me, he was our ROCK. He loved family and made sure he kept us all together. We have to try to continue that now that he is in Heaven. It would be what he wanted. I'm sure he was welcomed by Rachel and Mom and Dad. He is in good hands now and there is no more suffering for him. God bless all of you.

Love,
Dee, Bill, and Elise

To our Dear, Dear Brother and Uncle,
Andy, you were the greatest person. You were always there to lend a hand in any way you could. You are loved so very much that words cannot properly describe it.
We will love you and miss you always. Bill says he's lost a best friend. Elise feels she's lost a wonderful and generous uncle. I feel devastated to lose you. We love you.

Love,
Dee, Billy, and Elise

Andy welcomed me into the family, and made me feel like his natural born sister from the first time I met him. Rest in peace big brother. Andy...you are often on our minds, but always in our hearts
