Dear Diane, My heart is broken for your great loss. I was shocked to get this news. Had I known sooner, I would have been there. When I think back to the times we have shared - our children growing up together - though the years have moved us away, I always think of us as close friends and Eddie was always my buddy. He will be missed. I can not think of anyone who has made a greater contribution to Ft.Pierce. My love and prayers are for you and all of your children.

Ralph and I send our deepest sympathy and prayers to Diane and all the family. Eddie’s sister Susan is a close childhood friend and I always revered her older brothers. Eddie’s good-natured teasing made me feel important (I was referred to as “Judy Possum”). He was a wonderful man and an important part of what makes Ft. Pierce a special community.

I remember, as a small boy, leaving Mr. Enns' insurance office and my Dad saying, "Son, that is a good man." After living here for the last 50 years of my life, I can say, my dad was right. Mr. Enns was always a good man.

I was sad to learn of Eddie's passing. He was a Super Leader for Ft. Pierce and everytime I mentioned a negative item, he chided me to bite my tongue and speak of good things about a city he loved. My prayers to his family. God Bless and Keep you
