Harry Burrows Obituary

Harry Lorne Burrows

Vero Beach, FL

Harry Lorne Burrows, born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on August 8, 1926, to Hilda and Harry Reeve Burrows of Nottingham, England and Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He graduated from McGill University with a Degree in Chemistry and owned and operated Vero Chemical Distributors, happily for many years. He was an avid reader and enjoyed baseball, tennis, The New York Times crossword puzzle, and work, not necessarily in that order.

Harry is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Lorraine Wilson Burrows, and three children, Jennifer Burrows of Fort Lauderdale, Andrea (Mark) Thurn of Vero Beach, and Jonathan Burrows of Oakland, California, as well as 3 grandsons, Brent (Ashley) Thurn, Kyle (Allison) Thurn and Andrew Thurn, and a great-grandson Samuel Parker Thurn. A private service was held by the family. An online guestbook may be signed at www.coxgiffordseawinds.com.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I was searching the web to see if I could find Lorne to touch base with him again and to discuss old times, and I was met with the shocking news of his death. In Town of Mount Royal in Montreal Lorne and I played on the same baseball team. He was the first baseman and I was the short stop and we were very close for some years. He was my buddy. He was in Jackie's (my wife) and my highschool class. My thoughts go out to Lorraine and their children. You have lost a good man. Ron Lanthier

Dear Aunt Lorraine, Jonathon, Andrea and Jennifer,
I was out of town when Uncle Lorne passed away and now being home, I want to let you know how sorry I am for your loss. Uncle Lorne was such a good friend of my father's. He was a wonderful man and we will all miss him.
