Joanne A. Sheperd, 84, of Palm City, died peacefully July 11, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Waukegan, IL and had been a resident of Palm City for 16 years, having moved from Beaufort, SC. She was preceded in death by her brother, Regner, and her husband, David, whom she met at DePauw University, and where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughters Karen, Sandy, and Barb, her son-in-law Rogér, and her grandsons Matthew and Erik. She was a wise, passionate mentor to her grandsons, who loved her dearly.

Known to all as Joby, she lovingly nurtured and enriched the lives of her family and friends. Insightful, resilient, always elegant, joyful, and compassionate, Joby was a remarkable woman who loved and was loved by so many. Her laughter lit up every room. Celebrating a life lived with love; she will forever be remembered for her beautiful spirit.

Family and friends will share a celebration of her life.
