Lloyd Earl Johnson Jr.

Col. Lloyd Earl Johnson Jr., 93, died June 6, 2009. He was born in Royersford, Pa. He attended the U.S. Military Academy. He served as deputy group commander in the B-29 group in the 2nd Air Force. He served in Japan and was transferred to the Pentagon and assigned as deputy chief, Supply Division, DCS Material, USAF and then as as deputy director, Logistic Plans, USAF. He was the procurement director for a company hired to operate the high-speed rail transit line from South Jersey to Philadelphia. Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Johnson Willard; son, Lloyd E. Johnson III; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine "Kitty" Hepburn Johnson. SERVICES: A graveside burial service with full military honors will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
