Linda Morgan Obituary

Linda Faye Morgan

April 3, 1940 - May 3, 2025

Linda passed away in her Vancouver, WA home after a short battle with cancer.

She was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Pauline Vinson Hart and Roy Hart.

She married Cread Morgan on September 21, 1957.

Cread and Linda lived in the Longview and Castle Rock area for over 50 years. When they first moved to Castle Rock Linda began selling Avon as a way to get out of the house and meet people. She made many friends that way. She was a beautiful tole painter and later in life began oil painting, winning a blue ribbon for one of her first paintings at the Castle Rock fair. She loved to garden and had a green thumb. Cread and Linda were active in the Cowlitz Valley A's, model A club and restored many model A's. She enjoyed listening to Cread play music with friends at the senior center and various granges around Kelso and Longview.

She is survived by husband Cread Morgan, daughters Laura (Dave) Generaux, Melody Morgan, Susan (Bill) Morgan as well as 4 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren, and step grandchildren in the Generaux family.

She has 1 surviving brother, John Hart of Springfield, Oregon, 1 brother in law, Dennis Morgan of Arkansas and one sister in law, Shirey (Kent) Helsdon of Arizona as well as various aunts, nieces and nephews.

Our hearts have broken with her passing, and she will be missed by us all.

No service is planned. Remembrances may be mailed to C/O Laura Generaux, 3611 NE 242nd Avenue, Camas, WA 98607 and they will be shared with Cread and the family.

Steele Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

My deepest condolences on the loss of your mother.
Laura when we were young it was always great for me to spend time at your house. Your mom was a big part of that. She will forever live in my memories and my heart.

Mother, I sure miss you... So glad I spent some time with you on the day you went to be with others. I remember, telling you, you will go where the bunnies are, this was a week or so before Easter. You woke up, and sat with dad for an hour on Easter, and watched bunnies run around in your backyard. That there told me something, made me smile. You are at peace now, no more pain and suffering. Until we meet again Mom! I love you, Always in my Heart.

I am so sorry to hear of Linda´s passing. I first met her when she trained me as a volunteer Ombudsman in Longview MANY years ago. Linda was a kind, caring and loving person then and remained so the rest of her life. She will truly be missed. My condolences to the entire family... your loss is felt by all.
