Honey, Muh-Dear, Nana, Mommy, Dora, (these are all the loving names you answered to from all of us); Even in the throes of your long twilight I could still see the strength of your womanhood in you and I have held on to the memories of those past strengths. They are so powerful still and they keep me filled-up with love and admiration for you and the life you led and taught us about excellent character and integrity. I did not know Mrs. Alford personally, but her children were friends of mine going back years ago. Especially Sandy, my very best friend's Kenny's wife who I affectionally call my adopted sister-in-law. It is a very sad occasion when a loved one passes and I know her family was very close. That being said, I wish to offer my deepest sympathy to Kenny, Sandy, and Robert and hope that your grieving period will not linger to the point of distracting you from living your life to the fullest. Your friend, Ernie Dew

Honey is what she was called, but we also knew and cherished her as a beautiful mother, with a heart of gold. Memories of the times she held so many of her grandchildren, and the smile she brought forth in all of the family. The times of watching her as she enjoys her sports on TV and the several times we made a surprise visit to light up her heart. Times like these will stay with us forever and know that all that came to know her, will love and keep her in our hearts and soul. My mother-in-law "One of the Best"

Sandy and Kenny, and your family, my deepest condolences. Your mother had a long life filled with family that she loved and who loved her. She is at peace now in the hands of God , and that's a blessing.
