Everett F. Fitzgerald, 85
SHREWSBURY - Fitzgerald, Everett F., 85, of Shrewsbury and formerly of Natick, died Thursday, November 15, 2012 in St. Vincent Hospital after a brief illness. His wife, Marie (Condon) Fitzgerald died in 2010.
He is survived by his children, Donna Moore of Pt. Charlotte, FL, Dennis Fitzgerald of Ashland, Beverly Fowler of Hopkinton, and Brian Fitzgerald of Upton; 6 loving grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; his sister, Phyllis Flaherty of Falmouth, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and William Fitzgerald, and his sister, Florence Furguson.
He was born in Malden, the son of the late Everett and Dorothy (McGuire) Fitzgerald. He was a graduate of Somerville High School and later Suffolk University.
He worked for many years as a branch manager at Hoover Vacuum in Natick, he later owned and operated a Thrifty Rent-a-Car franchise, and worked as a salesman for Hamilton Beach.
He was an avid Boston sports fan, and golfer, above all he enjoyed spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren.
He was a member of the International Country Club in Bolton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, November 19th from 4-7 PM in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, SHREWSBURY. His funeral will be held Tuesday, November 20th from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 AM in Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
