Hunter Lohman Obituary

Hunter H. Lohman, 79, of Juniper Lane, now rests in the hands of God after a sudden heart attack at his home took him from us on Sunday, April 6, 2008.

He will be sadly missed by his beloved family; his wife of 56 years, Margaret (Forbes) Lohman; his three daughters, Mary and her husband Don Mitchell of Sterling, Patty and her husband Steven Davidovich of San Francisco and Carol and her husband John Brann from Franklin; a son, David from Alexandria, VA; He was predeceased by his daughter, Barbara, who passed away in January of this year, and his sister Claire Cotter.

In addition to being a loving husband and father he was a devoted grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle leaving 14 grandchildren, Jonathan, Jeremiah, Douglas, Jr., Jerome, Stephanie, Alex, Philip, Maralee, Rosemary, Kehan, Theresa, Hunter, Joey and Charlotte; 4 great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Jacob, Conrad and Olivia; 3 sisters, Georgia Gentile of Elizabeth, PA, Rosemary Shidel of Sarasota, FL and Mabel Adams of St. Augustine, FL; and many nephews, nieces, and Godchildren.

He was born and raised in McKeesport, PA, son of Hunter J. and Frances (Eger) Lohman. At age 17 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps and was assigned to the Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, NC, during World War II. David---my good friend

It is remarkable that your father will reside in Mount Vernon Cemetary. Your connection is there for eternity.

You and Carol your warm, caring and fully loyal sister share common grief in your own special way. You possess similar attributes which characterize good, open and honest folks who can be counted on to be there first to treat the needs of others.

I did not know your father but if you reflect his character he would be a man I would wanted to know.

God Bless you and your family. May you safely return home.

Peace
Jack and Janet

Margaret,
Greg and I moved to Juniper Lane with our twins 5 years ago and you were kind enough to bring us a welcoming loaf of bread, hot from your oven. We have watched you and Hunter taking delight in caring for your yard and marveled at Hunter's strength and energy.
We will miss his neighborly waves of hello that we have come to expect while he was hard at work tending to his flowers.
We are so sorry for your loss, Margaret.
