Jack Benoit Obituary

Jack P. Benoit, 44, of Worcester, passed away Thursday, January 4th, in his home, after being stricken ill.

Jack is survived by his parents, Donald Benoit of Millbury and Arleen (Ventresca) Benoit, with whom he lived; a sister, Gia P. Benoit of Avon, Colorado; his girlfriend, Linda Hazelton; a maternal aunt, Carol Ventresca-Smith and many paternal aunts, uncles and cousins; two great aunts, Bernice Caputo and Lucille Paradis, both of Worcester; other relatives and friends. He was born in Worcester, graduated from North High and has lived here all his life.

Jack worked as a home healthcare worker. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church. Jack loved the outdoors, golfing, tennis and horseback riding.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 8th at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church, 75 Alvarado Ave. Burial in St. John Cemetery will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities, 10 Hammond St., Worcester, 01610. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., has been chosen to assist the family with arrangements.

Thank you all for remembering my brother Jack. So many people loved him. He would have felt so honored to see all of you remembering him here and at his funeral. Dear Jack, The love of horses brought us together 4 yrs. ago online but beyond that you where the best friend a person could ever ask for. My deepest sympathy to Jack's family and our friend Linda. Jack and I spent time chatting at our home in Pa in August. We are blessed to have know such a wonderful man. I watch my Dessha deal with the loss of her children and I know the trials ahead. Please know it is ok whatever you go through. I met Jack in August at my house warming and birthday party. The joy he brought me and the smile on his face will always be very precious.
