One of my earliest memories that I can put a date on was playing trucks with my next door neighbor, Kenny Rauscher, on the wall surrounding his house on Clamshell road. This one particular day, while we were playing, his mother, Florence, opened the kitchen window and yelled out " The war is over, The war is over". That was 1945. We were 5 years old at that time. I have many nice memories of working and playing with Kenny on his Grandfathers' farm. Learning how to drive. Working the fields and the oil and coal trucks. I remember how Kennys' father , John , took the time to show me how to be a responsible person.I learned as much from the Rauscher family as I did with my schooling. Many, many nice memories. It would not have been right for me to have gone through my life and not to have known Kenny, Sandy, Doris Steele and the entire Rauscher family.
Rest in Peace Kenny. You are with your parents now.

Dear Sandy and Family,
As I sit here writting this I remember my friend...
Kenny was my buddy and life long friend and neighbor and CLASSMATE... All the good times we had growing up on CLAMSHELL ROAD and WILSON St. Skating on THE SWAMP and CLAMSHELL pond. Memories I will cherish forever...Often as he was riding by my house, I would yell a him and ask him if he had a gas peddle in his truck, as he went so slow. he just giggled.. Kenny will surly be missed..
RIP my DEAR friend Kenny.
