Kate, Abe & Nell - Kevin was the kindest and most endearing person I have ever met. Never too busy to lend an ear or share a smile and a story. He was truly a giving and selfless person. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Eldredge Lumber is now missing another ray of sunshine.

Kevin and I were both from Worcester and attended the same high school in Boylston, Mass. before he left for St. John's. He was in gymnastics with my little brother. We reminisced a bit about that experience while he did a carpentry project on my home in Eliot. He also worked part time at Clay Hill Farm so we knew a lot of the same people and we shared restaurant war stories together too. It's been years since that project but his little 'Kevin Brown quips' he served up then have often floated into my head. One of my favorites was when he said I suffered from 'low-bid-itis.' I've been appreciative of that diagnosis and tried to resist the symptoms of that disease since. Thanks for that diagnosis Kevin, I needed that and am still trying to recover.
I have never forgotten how he spoke of his family either. He spoke of his wife in a manner usually reserved for young love. I'm sure they all miss him terribly, he was a gentle soul.

Katy and family - I am so saddened to hear about Kevin. I used to say to clients when they were looking for a contractor, "Kevin Brown is someone I would trust with my checkbook, my credit cards and the key to my safe deposit box. He will never do you wrong. He does great work and I think the world of him. Anybody would be very lucky to have Kevin do work for them." He will be missed in my circle of friends that is for sure.

Although I only had the honor of knowing Kevin for a few years, in that period I came to know a great man who loved his family and couldn't be prouder of his kids. He has touched so many and so many will miss him.
