Dr. Nicholas C. Mazanitis, 74

WORCESTER - Dr. Nicholas C. Mazanitis, 74, of Worcester died Wednesday, January 20th at home with his loving family by his side. He is survived by his wife of nearly 42 years, Sandra G. (Andronic) Mazanitis; his son, Alex S. Mazanitis of Worcester; three daughters, Nicole M. Gorski and her husband. Alex of Clinton Corner, NY, Christina E. Drogkaris and her husband, Vasilios of Middleton, CT and Sophia A. Mazanitis of Buffalo, NY; his brother, William Mazanitis and his wife, Christine of Centre Hall, PA and two grandchildren, Christopher Gorski and Alexis Drogkaris.

He was born in Bucharest, Romania the son of Spyridon and Eleftheria (Diamantis) Mazanitis; and had last worked as a physician at Harrington Memorial Hospital. He was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral and St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.

HIs graveside service is Saturday, January 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers. please make memorial contributions to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street, Worcester, MA 01609 or St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 34 Gold Street, Shrewsbury, MA 01545. O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family with arrangements.
