Viola Hebert Obituary
SHREWSBURY - Viola M. (Glover) Hebert, 88, longtime Shrewsbury resident died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 in Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Worcester.
She leaves her husband, Joseph E. Hebert; two daughters, Linda T. Cummings and her husband, Edward of Amherst, New Hampshire, and Sandra E. Larivee and her husband, James of Auburn; two grandchildren, Kristine L. Cummings of Amherst, NH and E. Scott Cummings and his wife, Theresa of Mansfield, MA; two great grandchildren Connor J. and Makayla K. Cummings of Mansfield, MA and several nieces and nephews.
Viola was born in Upton, daughter of the late Raymond and Bertha (Stratton) Glover. She attended High School and then met and married Joe who would be her husband and best friend for the next 66 years.
Viola was a very simple and gracious lady; family meant everything to her. Some of her most precious moments were spent with her daughters and grandchildren and watching their many accomplishments. She also enjoyed knitting, paying bingo, camping with the family and watching the Red Sox.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Viola's family on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 10:00-11:00 AM in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. A service honoring her life will begin at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The New England Organ Bank, 60 1st Ave, Waltham, MA 02451(www.neob.org) . Uncle Joe, Linda, Sandy and families,
Aunt Vi was so devoted to her family. I loved her excitement in her talking of Kristine and Scott and all that they accomplished as they grew up. She was so proud of you. I'll remember her NH visits with Uncle Joe to play bingo with my mother.
She will be close to you everyday through all of your happy memories. May peace be with you.
