Billy Earl Lowe, Jr. age 59 of Old Hickory died suddenly October 2, 2015.

He is survived by loving wife, Jane; children, Lindsay Lowe, Tyler Lowe and Whitney (Mickey) Gregory; sister, Diana (Billy) Crowder; stepson, Tanner Owens; grandson, Gage.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 6, 6-7 p.m. with a celebration of Billy's life at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home.

Just heard about Billy passing. I went to high school and played football with him in Laurel, Mississippi. Great guy.. I know he'll be greatly missed. May God bring comfort to the family during this time of grief.

Just learned of his death. Our parents were real good friends and all us kids would play together while they played cards! Such good memories. Diane so sorry for the loss of your brother. I met Billy in 1974, when the Lowe family moved to Union, MS. Very early, Billy and Louis, fit right in with the Union crew. We became solid friends, until marriages took us in different directions; I was in his and Sherry's wedding and he was in mine and Beverly's. Through the years we stayed connected via phone, and via The Neshoba County Fair, where I had the privilege of meeting and spending time with the love's of his life: Whitney, Linsey and Tyler, also spending time with Diane and Billy. Billy Lowe was the only "friend " to call and check on us after Hurricane Katrina. I loved Billy as a friend and I will miss him like a brother. My prayers will continue to go out for all of you.

I can't even begin to understand the depth of your loss. I was so shocked to learn of Billy's sudden death and know that you are all in such pain. Billy was larger than life with a laugh that was simply contagious. He was passionate about many things, but his greatest passion was always the three of you. Very sorry to hear about Billy's passing. He and I grew up in the same neighborhood (Country Club Hills) in Laurel and graduated from LHS together. He was a very nice guy and an incredible athlete. I believe he was the fastest guy on the football team and a great wide receiver. Simpler times and a simpler world. My condolences to all of the family.

Billy was an awesome guy, probably the most outgoing person I've ever met. I work at jacks BBQ on Trinity lane and he was around a bit and when he was he never struggled to make you laugh or smile. The music city bowl will never be the same. This has shocked me and saddened me, and I pray for Billy's family and friends. The world lost a great man.
