I only met Mr. Jeanette this year as I was visiting an employee where he last resided in Mt. Juliet. The brick from the old Cumberland High School on the shelf outside his apartment caught my eye, since both of my parents graduated from that school and I remember my mom telling me years ago that those bricks were being sold from the parts that were being torn down. I struck up a conversation with Mr. Jeanette and found him to be so sweet and interesting. He graduated from Cumberland 1 year after my parents and knew both of them. My dad passed away in 1989 and my mom just last year, so it was nice to meet and chat with someone who knew them both as teens and to compare notes on other things we had in common. To his family, please know that I'm truly sorry for your loss.
