Rev. Parmer was the picture of what a Pastor should be. He genuinely cared and gave of himself unconditionally...who exemplified in his words, actions, and life the attitude of Christ...who touched the lives of so many people through his ministry...who made a difference in my life as he provided me with Godly advice and an example to follow. He will certainly be missed but not forgotten. Thank you Brother Parmer for the life you lived and the difference you made for the cause of Christ!

We considered Gerald a special friend through the years. He and Montine were so caring to Dan and Sonja at Bethel. We rejoice over his completed journey and send our thoughts and prayers to his family.

Joy, Randy and Danny we love y'all. Uncle Gerald was one of a kind, everyone who came into contact with him was so Blessed to have known him. The Lord had such a special representative in Uncle Gerald there's not a time that he didn't give all he had to serving the Lord and taking care of his family and friends. May God, your awesome memories of the time you've had with such a special man, your family and friends give you all comfort in this time. Heaven has been rejoicing at Uncle Gerald's homecoming, your Mom, Grandma and Grandpa, his brothers and Aunt Judy are having a joyous reunion. Be Blessed. Uncle Gerald we love you, Heaven has a special Angel home again. Mom/Nadine sends her love, hugs and prayers.

Gerald Parmer was one of my best Pastor friends ever. He and I worked together in Youth Camps (Junior High and Senior High; Teen Retreats and other NYPS and NYI activities/events). I served as his Teen Director, Vice-President, and Bible Quiz Director on the Alabama District. Later I served with him on the Alabama North District Sunday School Ministries Board. I admired him and looked up to him. My wife and I fellowshipped with he and Montine. We feel the loss of both. Our prayers are with the family (We always enjoyed their children).

What a wonderful man of God! It was such a blessing to sit under his ministry, and being a Bama pastor, he and Montine welcomed me with open arms when I was at Trevecca. My sympathy goes out to Joy, Randy and Danny. Heaven is rejoicing! I'm sure he and my dad are already exchanging stories! My thoughts and prayers to all.

This was a true follower of Jesus in every action, word and deed. His great love for the Lord and people was definitely shown in his life and example. He wanted everyone that he met to go to Heaven with him. This earth was richer because of this great man and I can only imagine how much richer heaven is today! He will be greatly missed but we will meet again one day!
