Reba and Family, you were so blessed to have Dottie in you lives. Her songs, her words proved she was very close to GOD. I feel so blessed just to hear her songs and words. If just a portion of her blessing would rub off on me or my Family, I would be so happy.
Yes, I could just see her going to Heaven singing " I go to the Rock" We all know she is heading to the
promised land, So say a big Hallelujah!

God Bless you and your Family.

Heaven's choir is getting sweeter and sweeter every day as we see our precious loved ones who has blessed our lives so many times with their beautiful gifts of song and music going to heaven and joining the heavenly choir. We were so blessed by your mother's wonderful gifts. She will be sorely missed. I saw her many times on TBN, Jim Bakker's show and with the Gaither homecomings. She was always a true blessing. You could see how much she loved Jesus. It shown in her eyes. Now she is with Him

Dear Reba and family,
I didn't hear of your mother's untimely passing until I was watching a re-run of Jim Baker today. Our family experienced a similar loss last Monday (May 19) when my sister-in-law's mother was killed in a car wreck on her way home from work. Last week was very difficult, to say the least, so I can sympathize with your situation. Your mom was greatly loved by all who heard her sing and was an inspiration to many. It is my sincere prayer that God will comfort you and your family during this difficult time and will help you to find joy in your mom's music and the memories of happier times you shared together.

Love in Christ,

I've enjoyed The Singing Rambos, Dottie and Reba for a lot of years. I remember meeting Dottie and Buck when they were recording their first album without Reba, in the studios of the John T. Benson Publishing Company. My wife and I were the janitors at night and as soon as I heard Dotties voice talking down a hall, I knew who it was. She was very, very sweet and invited ,my wife and I to come in the engineering room to watch and listen while they were recording. That was in 1978 and that memory will live with me forever. Thank You Jesus for such a Talented Saint and wonderful woman of God. I'll miss just knowing you are out there doing Gods great work.

Dear Family of Dottie,
I heard of Dottie's graduation on memorial day. As I left the cemetary where my Grandparents and Sunday School teacher lay, I raised my hands to heaven thinking of the glorious song fests they are having up there. So many of Dottie's songs brought me closer to the Lord in Worship as well as opened my eyes to his prescence in time of need. God will continue to bless you all and keep you in his hands during your time of grief. My prayers are with you.

Sharing in your sorrow. I also lost my mother tragically this year and understand the pain you are going through. It blessed my heart and I have always enjoyed singing her songs - they have a powerful message. She will live on through this music.

For Dottie is surely sheltered in the arms of GOD words can't never express the way we all felt about or sister Dottie but we all know that she is in heaven free from all the pain that she went through. But I know that the Lord on that Day said WELL DONE THOU GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVENT Your work on earth is done and know it is time to come home. I never know Dottie personally but I enjoyed all her songs I even have several sound tracks of the music Dottie wrote and when I hear them or sing them I have peace in my heart and I am just so blessed to know that Dottie obeyed the Lord and she did what her Father asked her to do. I know that words can't bring a loved one back but I do know that it was time for our sister to go home, and that she is sitting with our Lord in heaven I think that if she could she would say dont cry for me for I have made it to heaven with my Lord. Dottie you will be missed but sis shout all over heaven free from all the back pain dance like you have never danced before. To Reba and family I am so sorry for the loss of your mom and friend may God comfort you and your family in this time of sorrow. But just look up in to heaven and know that She is happer than she has ever been. For she has received her reward and oh what a Great reward that is to set at the feet of Jesus. Lots of Love and prayer may God richly bless you and Keep you Keep the Faith and know that we well see her again and the way it looks it wont be long

In Gods Sweet Heaven

There is a land
A holy city
where hearts don,t break
and tears don,t fall
where clouds don,t rise and
deaths a stranger
In God's sweet heaven
It will be worth it all.
Chrous
Yes in God's new heaven
we will meet up there
and such wonderous glory
we then shall share
we will crown king Jesus
we will sing a new song
In Gods sweet heaven
oh it can,t be long

The battle rages
and the waves crest high
to our dear loved ones
we must say good bye
we seek out a reason
but none is given
yes we,ll understand it
In Gods sweet heaven

When we get yonder
on that golden shore
hearts won,t break
and we will suffer no more
we will see such beauty
when we awake
In Gods first heaven
as our first breathe we take

Dearest Reba and Family:

Many years ago My Mom and Your Mother met and became the inspiration that caused my mother to write her own music. My Mom along with another Pastor in Phoenix would bring the groups in and so many times as a child I cherished being around your mom, and so many of the singers that I believe make up the choir in heaven! Dottie, became the insirpiration for me to work on becoming the "alto" in the choir that my mother directed at 44th St. Church of God, in Phoenix, AZ. Pastor Hershel Diffie pastored for over 35 years. My heart is saddened and yet I know there is rejoicing in heaven today! Reba hold fast to those wonderful songs your mother wrote and all the wonderful times you've had with your Mother. Her annointing lives in through you and your children! You will be in all of our thoughts and prayers! God Bless and Keep you!

All of my life we have enjoyed the music of Dottie Rambo and continue to enjoy her songs. I remember one time the Rambos came to Phoenix Arizona in the 70s and I was about 4 years old; she touched her cheek and told me to give her a 'chocolate kiss'. We will be forever blessed with the music legacy she leaves behind.

Dottie Rambo is NOW in HEAVEN with all of the GREATS of SOUTHERN GOSPEL MUSIC. I can just hear Vestal and Dottie singing one of Dottie's songs like "Build My Mansion Next Door to Jesus "
I can say that as a radio personality I was honored to do a program with Dottie in Cleburne TX a couple of years ago. I could see though her frail little eyes the pain and suffering she had endured over the years. But when she took the platform and started singing and talking about her precious love for JESUS, All of that went away. We will miss you very much, but as long as we have the ability to play your songs over the airwaves someone, somehow, somewhere will be touched by the ink put to paper and sung by generations to come

I can't help but think that since Jesus will be returning soon for his Bride, He needed Dottie, along with Dad Speer, Rusty Goodman, and other great song writers to write the song that the angels cannot sing. The one that only the redeemed will be able to sing. And one that only Dottie could help pen.
Write the song Dottie. I'm ready to sing.

May God wrap His loving and comforting arms around all of Dottie's Family during this time of your loss. We don't know He is our "comforter" until we need comforting. The world has been so blessed by the awesome songs penned by Dottie through the years. Through her pain and trials of life, she has given all of us beautiful songs that minister. I still remember Dottie telling about her "angel room" where she received the words and music to many of the songs she composed. I also remember attending concerts to hear the "Rambos" sing when Reba was still a teenager in Modesto, CA. Our prayers are with the Rambo/McGuire families and may God restore health and mend the bodies of those injured in the accident.

How sad..yet joy comes each morning from the Lord. Our hearts break with you, Reba, and your family. Watching TBN's 1994 Tribute to your Mother Dottie was a comfort to us. Dottie touched my life first in 1968 or 1969 in Lakeland, FL at a concert where my husband and I were preparing for ministry at Southeastern University. In 1980's we were honored to have you sing in our church..Westside A/G..now Life Church International (23 years later)..Thanks..Reba for sharing your Mother with me and my family all these years singing 'the greatest songs' ever written! Especially..."Germs"...your son was darling singing it in 1994..and your daughters were adorable in song and dance. Our love goes out to you all at this time. Keep the "Singing Fires Burning!" You have always made Dottie a proud Mom..and rightly so.
God Bless You...and Keep you safe and close in the comfort of the Holy Spirit as life goes on..We all look forward to meeting "our Life's Rose-Dottie Rambo" again in heaven. Love and Prayers...

What an amazing Lady Dottie Rambo was!

There are no words to describe the sadness I share with so many others that she is now gone from us, but Thank God we had her! No one in ANY field of music could put a song together, or touch more people with just one song than Dottie Rambo. Words and music as meaningful and beautiful as hers are a gift from God through people's souls and Dottie must have been his main vessel.

I grew up in Southern Gospel Music traveling with the Sego Brothers and Naomi and was privileged to work many shows with Dottie and "The Rambos". Dottie wrote the Gospel the way it's supposed to be. So incredibly encouraging and inspiring, never condescending, judgmental, or exclusionary. Her words and music literally saved my life more than one time, as I'm sure they did many others. "This Is My Valley", "Too Much To Gain To Lose", "In the Valley He Restoreth My Soul", "Sheltered In the Arms of God" and so many others have and always will be a part of my life and my strength when I feel I can't take another step.

Dottie had a way of climbing back up from the bottom and through her songs showed others they not only could, but they MUST!

I can't help but be overwhelmed with sadness to know she is gone, but I rejoice in the knowledge that her trials are now over and SHE is safely "Sheltered In the Arms of God". Also that He gave us such a wonderful Lady with an amazing voice that surely touched more people in 74 years than any other human being that ever walked this Earth.

Earth's devastating loss is Heaven's gain.

"This house of flesh is but a prison
Bars of bone hold my soul
But the doors of clay are gonna burst wide open!
When the Angels set my spirit free!
I'll take my flight like the mighty eagle
When the Hills of Home start calling me..."

Thank you ABBA FATHER for another example of a 'child' of the living GOD that truly embraced her calling on this journey here called life; enduring to the very end, remaining faithful no matter the cost and the pain.

Now FATHER we ask in this time of separation, that you would wrap each of Dottie's family members as well as her beloved friends in YOUR arms, comfort them, and grant them YOUR peace and strength.

As heaven rejoices and those on earth mourn her departure; FATHER we know YOU have welcomed Dottie home where her heart has always been.

To Reba and Dottie's family:
We will all miss Dottie greatly. I was one of the choir members that sang with the choir from Jonathan Greer's church in Nashville, TN, when Dottie won her 1st Grammy. I remember songs like: Just Enough Heaven; Reach out for the Life line and A Healer Coming Down the Road.
The carpet for our church, Pentecostal Tabernacle, on 12th Ave. North & Clay Street was purchased by Dottie from that record. Novella Williams was the church's music director at that time.
Dottie has finished her music writing,
singing, and winning souls to Christ.

Reba, thanks so much for sharing your mom with the whole world. what a blessing she was & will continue to be. I recently watched her on the Jim Bakker show, just days before her homegoing. She sang "new shoes" and changed a line in it to say: "I can hardly wait to hear Sister Vestal singing..." I have replayed the segment which I happened to have recorded, and wept at that line! Little did Ms. Dottie know that in a few short days she & Vestal would be praising together once again in the presence of the One she wrote of & so faithfully served! May your sweet memories be a comfort to you until you are with your Mother again in Glory!

My deepest sympathy to Reba and her family upon the loss of her saintly mother. Dottie's songs have been and always will be an inspiration to me--I sing them as I walk each afternoon around my small town---Dottie is in a better place but she leaves a legacy of songs that will forever comfort those here on earth! God bless you!

Dear Reba and Family, you are in our prayers and you have our deepest sympathy. I met Dottie at a singing in Florence S.C. and instantly became a fan of hers. God needed a song writer for the angels and the Lord called Dottie home to fulfill the position. You are in our Prayers and God Bless you. We will miss her greatly.

Reba:
When I was a girl in a United Pentecostal Church in Waco, Texas the Singing Rambos were an inspiration to me. "Dottie Rambo" was who we all wanted to "look like" and of course "sing like." She was such a blessing and so are you. My husband and I were watching TBN just this week and truly enjoyed all the tributes to your mom. You're "just like her" and I know you're "proud to be!" Just know our thoughts and prayers are with your family. The Milners

Dottie was an incredible gift of God to the Body of Christ. What an impact & difference she has made on countless lives across this nation. Her songs were inspired & anointed by God Himself and they will forever echo thru out this land and around the world as a testimony to the goodness of God and to His mercy. Because of her willingness to listen to the Spirit of God, He was able to develop her God given gift of telling a story thru song thus touching many a heart with some of the most anointed songs to ever fall from the lips of a human being. She will forever stand tall as one of the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Dottie Rambo ... no words to describe the beauty of such a soul, who was --so wonderful with words... Dottie, I love YOU!!! My dear friend, to me, you remain "The Pen of The Psalmist" I am grateful for the entrance of love, both HIS and yours that the gift of your friendship and artistry have brought into and shown upon my simple life. I will not miss you, for I carry you in the depth of my heart where you have left an indeliable fingerprint upon my being. Should my soul ever upon this journey become too heavy to look forward, I will hear your sweetest words in your sweetest voice... "Defeat is a word I'll never use for there is --too much to gain to Lose." Rheda

Dottie was an inspiration to me when I started writing lyrics. She told me not to just write some words. Let God give you the words it will write itself. This was when Dottie was living near Stone Mtn. Always gracious to everyone she met. Dottie knew no strangers!
Prayers to the family left behind.. You know where she is, one day soon everyone will be reunited with loved ones who crossed ahead of us.
May God continue to give all the family, friends, and fans the strength to continue on. If your hearts not right with God, talk to Him, He's waiting to hear from you.
Christian Love to all of you....

Dear Reba and Family,
Dottie's music was a precious gift in my life. Her words helped me through a hard teenage life and even more as an adult. I was saved and baptized because of her gift of words
I was able to tell her that at her Nov. 3, 2007 concert in Wilson, NC. Standing so close in her presence was second only to standing before God Himself. She is without any dought in my mind with our Lord.
Know that you all (Larry and his family too) are all in my prayers. Broken bodies will heal, broken hearts take longer.
Love through Christ

dottie came to Jackson, MS years ago when I was first saved and did a women's conference for us...she said things I will never forget, as we continue to sing her words that will never be forgotten in this world's lifetime. Thank you for letting her give her life to service to her precious Jesus. We will see and sing with her soon again. Love, Angie
