I just read, with tears in my eyes, the story you shared about your precious daughter in the Tennessean. I am so sorry for your loss. But I am thankful that you shared her story in the hopes of helping others, both with addiction and other parents. Sincerely, Tracey Casteel

Will be keeping your family in my thoughts! I knew Katy in middle school and played soccer with her. She was such a leader on our team, so sad to hear the news of her passing. Glad she is at peace, and out of suffering.

I wish I could be there in Nashville to put my arms around you, cousin Betty. You, Bruce, Houston, & Uncle Sam are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Love you.

I cannot imagine the pain you are suffering, nor the loss you feel. I pray for peace for all of you and for your precious daughter who has found the peace that passes all understanding. Thank you for making space in your pain and in your devastation to communicate the power of drug addiction. You must be remarkable people to reach out to others even as you reach within, grappling with the magnitude of your loss. From one horse girl's mama to another, I hold you in my heart.

She is finally at peace and embraced by His almighty arms. Thank you for being brutely and painfully honest about your daughters struggles. I am sure the disease took your whole family hostage. May she rest in peace now and wish you and your love ones healing.. Godspeed
