Kevin Sparkman Obituary
Nashville, TN
Age 52, April 20, 2014. Retired Founder, Instructor and Sensei of BuShin Dojo from 1989-2013 and member of Gilda's Club. Kevin was an accomplished artist.
Preceded in death by father, Billy Sparkman.
He is survived by his mother, Verna Sparkman; sister, Kelly Sparkman; brother, Ron Sparkman; nephew, Cole Sparkman; several aunts, uncles & cousins; and special friends, Dawn, Doug and the Dorris Family.
"Special Thank You" to Dr. Paul Moots and Pam & Kay and the Pallative Care Unit at Vanderbilt Hospital.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 22, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road, and Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. at the church.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Brentwood Hills Church of Christ, 5120 Franklin Pike, by Walt Leaver.
Interment Friday, April 25, 2014, at 2 p.m. in Rochester Cemetery, Rochester, IL.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gilda's Club, 1033 18th Ave. So., Nashville, TN 37212 or Brentwood Hills Church of Christ Missions. Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel Directors, (615) 331-1952. Still Family Owned.

Kevin was an impressive man on many levels. He touched the lives of more people than he even knew, and provided an example of the power and value of discipline. An inspiration to many of us, he will be missed, and his memory will be cherished.

Kevin was a true warrior in his battle with his cancer. He demonstrated how a true martial artist handles the tough situations that life throws at us. He showed us how to live with cancer. His brothers at the Tennessee Southern Praying Mantis Kungfu Club will miss him dearly. He was a true patriot with a great love for his country. May he rest in eternal happiness
