we had the opportunity to know Ronnie through the Mid-South Cross Country Series he was a racer in and we are so very sorry for the families loss. He was a fighter the whole time we knew him. Nothing will ease your pain at this time but we felt we needed to let you know he was a good man and a good racer. He loved life to it's fullest and again the quad racing community will remember him on Sunday.

Robert & Celia, my deepest sympathies to you. You probably won't remember me but back in 1991, I came down to Nashville from Wisconsin to join Ronnie and EP on a trip out west to play some shows in Arizona and California. It was a trip I will never forget. Over the years, I kept in touch with Ronnie, and most recently, checking in periodically to see how he was doing. I actually last spoke with him on Nov 20. I saw the news the other day and was deeply saddened. RIP Ronnie....

I have never met a tougher, more determined person than my cousin, Ronnie. He is such a good example for all of us to follow your dreams and never give up ! You will be missed, Ronnie! I'll see you again someday in heaven!

Ronnie- I remember you calling me saying you wouldn't make it to 40. You beat the odds and showed us you're a fighter. The last time we spoke we had a good laugh about our friendship with the ups and down. We aggravated each other just like family would. I also remember your red nova that was wrecked on the way taking me to Smyrna and arguing with the truck driver about who's fault the accident was. (It was the truck drivers fault).
Rest in Peace Ronnie.
My condolences to the Byrd Family
