William Jones Obituary

William Jackie (Jack) Jones

Franklin, TN

William Jackie (Jack) Jones (57) of Franklin, Tennessee, passed peacefully after a brave and lengthy battle with cancer on July 28, 2016. He was a wonderful husband, brother and friend to many and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He was predeceased by his Mother, Sarah Beatrice Jones, and his Father, Frank Jones, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Vicki Jones, who will miss his loving soul and spirit greatly. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Frank Jones, Jr. (Faye), Shirley Jones, and Stanley Jones (Julie), and nieces and nephews and friends who were like family to him. He is also survived by his fur family members, Santos, Chanel, Bella, Peanut and Boone. He loved his family and friends very much and was always there for them and they were always there for him and continue to assist in fulfulling his wishes. His friends are too numerous to mention by name but he loved each of them very much. He was a kind and loving person who helped anyone in need and continued to do that even while battling cancer. He had wonderful doctors, Dr. Patrick Murphy and Dr. Ysela Carrillo, that he thought of as family and they did everything they could to help him battle the cancer and give him the best life he could have while battling this disease. He also had great care from the nurses and staff at Tennessee Oncology, Vanderbilt and Williamson Medical and would want to acknowledge their contribution to his care during this time. He will continue to help people by donating his body to Science Care for research to help others. He did not want a funeral because he did not want anyone to be sad about his passing because he knew he would not have the pain and suffering he endured while with us here. His family will have a private ceremony for him. He would want all those who knew him to take the time they would have spent at a funeral and spend it with their loved ones. He was a member of Lakeshore Christian Church. If anyone would like to make a donation they can donate to The Sarah Cannon Fund at Pearlpoint online at https://www.pearlpoint.org/sarahcannonfund. Jack also loved his animals, so donations can also be made to Happy Tales in Franklin, Tennessee at http://www.happytaleshumane.com/ online.

Six long years and I still miss that smiling face and your ongoing wit that kept everyone in stitches. I miss you baby brother. There will always be a void that cannot be filled. I love you very much!! I´m selfish- I would have kept you here with me but the Lord knew best! We will see each other again and there will be a great reunion. You were one of a kind!! Miss you greatly!!!
