Armand and Judith Bobrick Obituary

Armand and Judith Bobrick, ages 79 and 74, of Collins Road in Corning, NY passed away respectively on September 5, 2018 and September 6, 2018. They were married on April 24, 1965 in Corning, NY at St Vincent de Paul Church.

Armand was born on January 15, 1939 in Charleroi, PA to Ferdinand and Louise Bobrick and moved to Corning in 1950. He graduated from Northside High School in 1956 and then graduated from University of Notre Dame in 1960. He worked for Corning Consumer Products for 37 years before retiring in 1996.

Judy was born at Corning Hospital on May 26, 1944 to Knut and Val Hammarstrom. She graduated from Corning Free Academy in 1962 and then attended Rochester Business Institute before enjoying a long career at the Corning Painted Post School District as a printing professional.

Together, they enjoyed spending time with their family and friends, playing golf, and boating on Keuka Lake. They had spent many winters at the Villages, FL. Armand loved his annual trips to South Bend to watch Notre Dame football. Judy was a master shopper that could find the best deal around.

They are survived by their sons, Geoff (Donna Howe) Bobrick of Raleigh, NC and Bradley (Lini Martino) Bobrick of Port St Lucie, FL. Their three grandchildren, Hailey and Hunter Bobrick and Benjamin Bobrick were their greatest joy. Armand is survived by sisters Nancy (Richard) Michaud and Linda Jacoby (Steve Densberger).

Memorial donations may be made in their honor to the charity of your choosing.

From Barb and Bill Greenfield, Anaheim CA

Perhaps it's too strong a word, but Barb and I are truly devastated over the passing of Armand followed by Judy of a broken heart. Yes, we know the good side - their deaths were mercifully fast and they are now together - but it was still so shocking to us. They were such a wonderful, loving, caring, happy, positive, glass-is-half-full, couple and so seemingly healthy. It makes no sense! Armand and I were really good friends since he moved to Corning in 1950 - classmates, teammates, Corning Inc alumni and friends as a couple since he and Judy married. Our hearts go out to Brad and Goeff and their families and to Nancy and Linda (who I watched grow up) and their families. The world has has lost a truly wonderful set of friends, parents and grandparents. REST IN PEACE - JUDY and ARMAND!

We are saddened by the loss of our friends, Armand and Judy. During our visit with them last summer, Armand got a kick out of shooting water at the squirrels who were stealing the bird seed. Judy was excited about having her kitchen remodeled. Such wonderful hosts. Very good memories. So glad we had the opportunity to share that time with them.

Our condolences go out to their sons and their families. May their broken hearts heal quickly.

My beautiful neighbors of 27 years now know about completeness of LOVE. A million light years and a million more would not give time enough to store that small second of eternity when you took each other in your arms... love is love's reward.
Happy trails ....
