I was so very shocked and saddened to hear of Dan's passing. I was a close friend of his brother back in the 1980s and will always remember fun times at Keuka Lake. My thoughts and prayers are with Pete, Carol, and their families.

I only met Daniel once at his marriage to JoAnne. It was a busy day for them, and I did not have a chance to spend a lot of time getting to know him, but immediately felt a natural grace and kindness about him. As I am reading though his remembrances, I see he was a teacher, which does not surprise me. It is clear he inspired many, and was a gift to his community.

I am very sorry to hear about Dan's death, but glad any suffering is over. Very early in my teaching career with CPP schools, Dan & I were teaching summer school. I knew few people, but he was the only one who included me in conversations with his humorous stories. His friendliness continued whenever we crossed paths in our teaching. Rest in peace.

I was so saddened when hearing of Dan's passing. I have great memories of him with the decades of training we were always at together. He had a passion for teaching. His humor at training , which sometimes got us in trouble, still makes me smile. Rest is peace Dan. You will be missed by many.

I am very sorry to hear about Dan's passing and being still so young. Although I did not know him that well I went through my high school years with Dan and graduated with him in 1976 at Corning-Painted Post East High School. I remember him with always a smile on his face and with such positive energy. My blessings and best wishes to his family...

I had the pleasure of teaching with Dan at Carder Elementary. We often started our days with morning conversations about in-depth topics, or with conversations about nothing of great interest. Either way, I enjoyed beginning the day chatting with Dan and having a laugh. We combined our students for academic activities on a daily basis. Dan included all of the students to learn together and help each other solve problems or come up with ideas. He was excited about teaching the students new things and his energy rubbed off on them. He frequently spoke of his love for his family and the great outdoors. Dan had a kind and caring soul that will be missed. Love and prayers, Deb
