Standing in a line, me at the end; we met and instantly she became my friend.
Talking with a smile, laughing softly I recall.
I was so happy to meet her. Energy and intelligence both stirred, as we talked with abounding enthusiasm of the Word!
Care was readily there, amazement stood and stared.
For what heart had longed for -- now saw a friend. So ready we were -- a fellowship to begin!
Eager to share, as we two stood there. Simplest of joy -- there is nothing to compare.
Committed to developing the gift of friendship; enveloped in the glee of shared interest. That day I knew I'd met a princess.
My short-time friend, now on yet another road; your memory I too will hold.

It seems that it was just yesterday that we were all sitting in the gym at Christian Life watching our boys play basketball! We had so much fun following the team to wherever they played. Being out of touch has not dulled those memories. Annette will be sorely missed! Mrs. Austin will greatly be missed in this community. This woman of God inspired so many and was truly a role model for women. I saw Mrs. Austin as a servant leader to those whom she came in contact with. Words can't express how thankful I am to have worked for such an awesome company as Health Care Options. I view HCO as my first real job and when I say this I mean my first real good Job. Mr. and Mrs. Austin taught their staff so many wonderful things. Mr. and Mrs. Austin showed love and kindness to everyone. I guess you can tell that I'm a former employee who is proud to have met such a wonderful couple as the Austin's. I say to Mr. Austin, the children, Donna and the rest of the family, " God makes no mistakes". Mrs. Austin is in a real good place and wouldn't trade it for nothing. Mrs. Austin was always kind and always checked on me after I lost my daughter, Halia. She prayed for and with me and lifted me in my time of sorrow. She also was instrumental in our foundation. To the family I'm so sorry for your loss, Mrs. Austin was a strong women of faith which allow her to be an excellent business owner for over 30 years of services to the Baton Rouge surrounding areas. I remember many times at Health Care Options she would come to me just to have a prayer together believing God for a breakthrough. Times such as those will always bring joy to mine heart that she would seek you out to touch and agree together as one before the throne of God. Mrs. Austin will be forever in my heart, because she has touched who I am for a life time, I shall truly miss her smile.
