Clark Boyce Obituary

Clark George Boyce, Jr. passed away at home on February 26, 2021, surrounded by his adoring family. Clark was born January 19, 1950. He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Stewart Boyce of Old Metairie, LA; daughters, Laura Boyce Rodrigue (Grant) of Baton Rouge, LA; Emalie Ann Boyce (Nathan Self) of St. Francisville, LA; Katherine Clark Boyce of Baton Rouge, LA; and Sally Boyce Rinehart (Palmer) of Old Metairie, LA; son, Robert Stewart Woods; brother, Robert D. Webb, Jr.; grandchildren, Ezra Elijah Self, Huxley George Self, and Laura Grace Rinehart; father-in-law, Ronald Wayne Stewart of Fairhope, AL; mother-in-law, Betty Madden Johnson of Foley, AL; sister-in-law Steffanie Dawne Stewart of Old Metairie, LA; and brother-in-law, Brent Wayne Stewart (Mary). He is preceded in death by his late wife, Laura Watts Boyce; and his parents, Clark George Boyce, Sr., and Shirley McNutt Boyce. A giant of a man - Clark's generous and gregarious personality filled every six foot eight inches of his considerable physical frame. Not a man to admire moderation in any form, Clark lived life to its fullest and expected those in his company to follow suit. Whether sharing his sport fishing and shooting expertise or just exploring God's bounty, Clark enjoyed teaching his beloved hobbies to anyone willing to learn. The quieter side of Clark cared for and invested in the community he loved dearly. His philanthropic contributions focused around health care and education helping grow the generations after him. Leaving an indelible, larger than life mark on all who knew and loved him, Clark will remain a constant source of inspiration, irreverence and goodness to all who knew and loved him. It took a village to float this boat and the family wishes to appreciate so many who aided and abetted Clark - Isiah "Blue" Jones, Buanita Gibson, Duane Hoodless, Emma Lucas, Rosa Matute, Glenda Isidore, Toni Pittman, Tina Williams, and Tiffany Lopez. The family also wishes to thank all medical professionals including Dr. Elizabeth Ritz, NOLA Doc and Dr. Gary Glynn, Touro Inpatient Rehabilitation, Ochsner Health, and the Cleveland Clinic. With respect to the health and welfare of our communities, there will be a private service with a Celebration of Life to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Second Harvest of Louisiana.
