David Drew Belcher

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mr. David Drew Belcher on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, 10:00am at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church with burial at 2:00pm, Louisiana National Cemetery. A visitation will take place at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, Downtown, Tuesday, April 20, 2021, 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Mr. Belcher passed away at the age of 34 on April 15, 2021. He leaves behind his father, Michael Louis Belcher, Sr. and Karen McIntosh Grevemberg; mother, Donna Francis Drew; grandparent, Francis Tucker Drew; sister, Amelie Cecile Belcher and husband Levi Castello and brother, Michael Louis Belcher, II and wife Lori Renee Belcher. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Felix Steven Belcher, Jeanne Marie Belcher and Robert Lawrence Drew. Mr. Belcher was a graduate from Redemptorist High School. He excelled in wrestling, football and weight lifting, all of which he held state champion titles. He served three tours of duty as an Iron Rakkasan in the United States Army 101st Airborne Division. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) or Cara's House, Ascension Parish Animal Shelter (www.carashouse.com).
