I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis when I was in my 30´s and Dr. Dement was my doctor. He was a very caring, respectful and gentle physician. His family has my sincere condolences for his passing. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

I no longer live in Baton Rouge and am saddened
to read of Leon's death. He was a great doctor with whom I enjoyed working . In fact, I selfishly regretted his early retirement for those reasons. I hope he enjoyed his retirement years. My condolences to his entire family.
