Luie Thomas "Pappa" Canezaro Sr.

Canezaro, Sr., Luie Thomas, "Pappa", 67, was founding owner of Luie's Bait and Tackle and retired in March of 2009. He was a resident of Baker and died on Monday, November 10, 2014. Visitation will all be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary of Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday, from 9:00 am until service time at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Baker, LA. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lynda Bell Canezaro, Daughters, Jacqueline Canezaro Murrah and husband Barry of Hot Springs, AR, Susan Elizabeth Canezaro of Baker and son, Luie Thomas Canezaro, Jr. and wife Kala of Baker, Sister, Beverly Canazero Wales of Zachary, Grandchildren, Amberlynn "Amber" Kaye Murrah, Joshua "Josh" Devin Murrah, Madison Hope Canezaro, Luie Thomas Canezaro III, and Anna Belle Canezaro. He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Canezaro, mother, Lee Canezaro Sauls, Brother Sammy Canezaro, Brother in law, Johnny Wales and his faithful quail hunting pal "Murphy" and Duck dog "Sam". Pallbearers will be Luie T. Canezaro, Jr., Huey "Mann" Patin, John E. "Thre" Wales, Brandon T. Wales, Barry Murrah, Josh Murrah and honorary pallbearer will be Merrill Roberts. He was an Avid Outdoorsman, turkey, quail, duck, deer hunting and fishing, he was a 1965 Graduate of Zachary High School and attended Kilgore College in Texas, where he played the trumpet for both.
