I´m sorry to hear of Rich´s passing. As an LSU piano student I was well aware of his talent and charisma. Beyond that, following my graduation in 1970 Rich, Thad Brys, and a few others played in the the Jackson MS Symphony . I looked forward to their coming to play because they always enjoyed a special meal in our home prior to the concert. Very special memories for me. Blessings and peace to all his family. My mother, Janet Steele Borne, played French horn with Mr. Norem at LSU. I remember his name well from her speaking of him over the years. I hope they meet again in heaven, as she has been there 19 years now.
