Craig M. Burgess

Craig M. Burgess, 60, of Sykesville, passed away at home on Friday, February 14, 2025. He was born on November 13, 1964, in Maryland to Clyde Parker Burgess of Salisbury, MD and Elizabeth Sherman Addis of Lusby, MD. He was the husband of Christina H. (Ekstrom) Burgess. Craig was a graduate of Parkside High School and attended Wor-Wic Community College and Howard Community College. Craig was a driver for United Parcel Service for 32 years until his retirement in 2022. He liked fishing, crabbing and camping. He also traveled on several tropical vacations with his wife. Surviving in addition to his parents and wife, Christina are brother Christopher L. Burgess, sister Corinne M. Hartsough and husband Kurt; step-children: Rachel C. Lopez, Crystal B. Lopez and Daniel C. Lopez. He is also survived by two nieces and four nephews. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 AM on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD where a catholic prayer service will be held at 10am.
