John Kuhn Obituary

John J. Kuhn, "Jack", 78, a 32 year resident of Pasadena, MD, died on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Hospice of the Chesapeake. He was born on Sunday, May 12th, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Helen and John J. Kuhn, Sr. Mr. Kuhn served honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Later he worked as a corrections officer for the State of Maryland at Jessup Penitentiary. He attended Our Lady of the Chesapeake Catholic Church and was a member of the American Legion Post #175 in Severna Park. In his free time he enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, feeding the hummingbirds and playing his favorite computer game Panzar General. In his younger years he also enjoyed country line dancing where he met his wife. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son John Kuhn, daughter Paula Kuhn, his brother Tom Kuhn, and his sisters Lucille Delizo, Karen Imes, and Ellen Hancock. Mr. Kuhn is survived by his wife of 30 years, Rose M. Kuhn, his step-son John Riley, Jr. and his wife Regina, his sister Dorothy Kuhn and his grandson Kevin Riley. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Stallings Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 am on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Our Lady of the Chesapeake Catholic Church 8325 Ventnor Road Pasadena, MD 21122. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake by clicking HERE or by mail to 90 Ritchie Highway Pasadena, MD 21122.
