It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Juan Melendez Jr., who left us on August 10, 2025, at the age of 54. Born on February 17, 1971, in Maryland, Juan was a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Juan is the devoted son of Juan Melendez Sr. and the late Eileen as well as step-son to the late Nancy. He is also survived by his brother Ricardo Melendez, and his beloved nieces, Chriztina Melendez and Deztinie Mack. Juan was also dearly loved by his uncle Emory Williams and aunt Anita Williams.
A man of remarkable intelligence, Juan had an insatiable love for history and literature. He was a devoted member of his Catholic faith. Throughout his life, he served in Altar Services at the Catholic Church, where he found great fulfillment in his commitment to serving others.
Family and friends are invited to honor Juan's life and legacy during a series of services. A public viewing will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a funeral service beginning at noon. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, where Juan will be laid to rest.
Juan's warmth, wisdom, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
