Robert Nuss Obituary

Robert D. "Bob from Vallonia" Nuss, 88, died at 5:05 a.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at his home.
Bob had retired from The Peoples Bank in Brownstown, where he had worked as a vice president and a trust officer.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and attending various sporting events through Brownstown Central.He enjoyed camping and attending the Driftwood Christian Church, however his church membership was at Brownstown Christian Church. He was also a U.S. veteran.
Born Sept. 23, 1926 in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Frederick W. and Marie Luetta (Brockoff) Nuss. On Sept. 22, 1946 in Brownstown, he married Marilyn Eastin and she preceded him in death on Aug. 6, 1995.
Survivors include two children, Doug (Sharon) Nuss and Mary Lou (Terry) Grider; six grandchildren: Beth (Joey) Gallion, Jennifer (Scott) Shade, Renee (Tracy) Stidam, Brian (Jill) Nuss, Jeanne (Craig) Pollert and Gretchan (Charlie) Booher and 12 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by the Laura Reinhart family who were a very special part of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a great grandson, Eli Gallion.
The funeral service will be Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11 a.m. from the Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown with Doug Pogue officiating.
Friends may call that morning after 10 a.m. or they can call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4-8 p.m.
Burial with military rites will be conducted at the Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown on Friday.

How do you put into words what an important part he played in so many lives.His jokes his smile and his great personality. He will be missed but God gained a joyful angel. Everyone's loss but God's gain. We were truly blessed to know Bob from Vallonia.
