Sam Nelson Obituary
Sam Edward Nelson, 69, of Conway, Arkansas, departed this life Monday, Jan. 16, 2023. He was born Nov. 14, 1953, in Boydell, Arkansas, to the late Nathan and Linard Nelson.
Sam was a gifted teacher and principal. He was an educator for 38.5 years. He cared about each and every student's education.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Elois Nelson of 41 years; two sisters, Susie Wright of Rock Island, Illinois, and Lynne Nelson of Little Rock, Arkansas; two daughters, D'Andrea (Erik) Tyler of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Chena Nelson of DeSoto, Texas; one granddaughter, Leila Tyler of Grand Prairie, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023, at Christ Community Center, 211 Peddicord Street, Dermott, A 71638. Visitation 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023, at the funeral home. Interment Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Ashley County Road, Boydell, Arkansas.
