Luna
Steve "El Pollo" Luna, 57, native and lifelong resident of Salinas, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014, in Salinas. He was born Sept. 14, 1956.
Steve is survived by his sister, Eleanor (Alfonso) Pineda; brother, Jimmy (Gloria) Luna; along with numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Abel and Consuelo Luna; brothers, Rudy and Freddie Luna, and sisters, Irene Luna, Connie Biedra and Sara Luna.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, with an Evening Prayer service at 7 p.m., all at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas, CA 93905. Cremation to follow services.

I am so sorry to hear of your passing. Pollo, you spread your love and craziness with your presence. Running into you at the Arco gas station 6 months ago was quite a surprise, after 30+years. My oldest granddaughter and oldest daughter were quite amazed by you. I know you will be singing your oldies with the angels.....keep their heads ringing....Love, Carol Radous.

To all the family and friends of Mr Pollo, he is in a better place now, where he has no more tears or sorrow. One thing I regret Pollo is I didn't get to see you before you went, I looked in all the hospitals for the last 3 weeks, but you slipped through the system one more time! You crazy Luna tic. Get it! Pollo, I don't think that I ever called you Tio, eventhough you were. I will always remember the sentimental side of you. From the first time you met my oldest daughter , Mariah you cried ,to the last time I saw you 9 years ago at my Dad's funeral. You will always have a special place in my heart.

Our Tio Pollo, Looking at you in this photo brings back your famous stand how you always leaned to the side knowing you were Mr. Cool. I would always remember the fact that you knew my first baby words but loving that you knew GOD always had your back- I will also miss the fact when I would see you or hear you say "WHO LOVES YOU AND MAKES YOU CRY" and "WHO LOVES YOU" - GOD LOVES YOU! No matter what path or walk in life we may choose, If we know and believe in GOD he is the promise at the end of our road. Pollo we all love you and will miss you so much.
