Asher "Basher" Levi Hensley, age 1, passed from this life on Saturday, March 15, 2025. He was born on Feb. 28, 2024, in Muncie, to Austin "Rock" and Jennica (Rivera) Hensley.
Asher was pure sunshine distilled into a tiny human. He was the sweetest, most loving, happiest little goober anyone could ask for. His joy was infectious, bubbling up from within him and spilling out in bright, unrestrained laughter. And when it came to tickles, Asher was a connoisseur. He'd often start giggling in anticipation, his eyes twinkling mischievously as fingers approached, the mere thought of being tickled enough to send him into fits of delightful, squealing laughter. He was a walking, talking, laughing ball of happy energy. He looked up to his older siblings, stealing and chewing on their toys, especially his brother, Dean's, Hot Wheels.
Asher had the eyes and a smile that would look into your soul and burn a hole right into you. He was always smiling and laughing … and drooling … He had a love for popsicles and watching Spongebob. Asher had a comforting and loving demeanor. He always loved to lay on his back next to his parents and slap them with his feet, giggling the whole time and would get a kick out of smearing his slobbery hands across his parents and siblings faces. Asher was a curious baby that was content with anything and everything going on around him.
Asher is survived by his parents, Rock and Jennica Hensley; siblings, Abel, Eleanor, Amelia and Dean; grandparents, Robert Hensley, Angie "Nina" Warren, Mark (Lori) Radcliff; great grandparents, Nada Hensley and Alma (Karl) Halliday; godfather, Gary (Kayla) Black and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Vanessa Darnell and a cousin, Lincoln.
