Peter Girimonte Obituary
AGE: 68 • Newfield
Peter R. "Pete the Shoe" Girimonte, Jr., 68, of Newfield, NJ passed away suddenly on Sunday evening in the Inspira Medical Center, Vineland, NJ. Pete was born & raised in Philadelphia and moved to Newfield in 1976 where he remained a lifelong Boro resident. He was the son of the late Mary & Pete Girimonte, Sr. and the husband of the late Carole Girimonte who died in April of 2013. Pete was also pre-deceased by his sister Eleanor.
Pete started his working career working with his wife at Pete's Shoe Repair. They operated a shoe repair store in Vineland and later in Bridgeton as well. In his later years after closing the shoe shop he started driving a truck for Kennedy Concrete in Vineland. Pete was a member of the North Italy Beneficial Association and enjoyed mushroom hunting and watching the horse races. Peter also enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family. He is survived by his 3 children; Christina, Peter (Clare) & Stephen (Jennifer). 4 grandchildren; Autumn, Pete Jr & Gabriella, Ella. 2 brothers; Dan & Louis. 2 sisters; Rose & Toni. 1 sister-in-law; Cherie as well as several nieces & nephews.

Our love to Steve, Jennifer and Ella and the entire Girimonte family. Pete always made me laugh, I will miss him! He is with the love of his life, Carole. May they sing, dance, and have drinks together again. Love to All, Mom and Michael
