Ronald E. Fisher

1949 - 2024

Ronald Eugene Fisher, age 75 of Lyons, died Saturday, November 23, 2024 in Ionia. He was born May 25, 1949 in Rapid City, South Dakota, the son of Donald and Beverly (Pray) Fisher. The family eventually moved to Michigan, where Ron lived the rest of his life.
He was a talented machinist and made his career in the tool and die industry, co-founding Aggressive Tooling. He was a certified jewel maker and an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt. He was also a big University of Michigan fan. Most importantly, Ron was a devoted family man with a deep love for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Whether you were in a hunting shack or on the field, you would always find Papa Fisher there in your corner.
Ron is survived by his children, Jill (Rob) Salik and Neal (Valorie) Fisher; brother, Donald (Nhung) Fisher; sister, Cherilyn (Larry) Caverley; grandchildren, Paige (Red) Leuenberger, Leslie (Zack) Kerr, Trenton Van Wagoner, Kyah Fisher, Dayton (Kaitlyn) Salik, Ashley Salik, Preston Seward, and Courtney Seward; great-grandchildren, Destiney, Elektra, Viviya, Octavya, Freyja, Elijiah, Avery, Everlynn, and Bella; and five nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering in celebration of Ron's life will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm Thursday, December 5 at St. Charles Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow at Hurst Funeral Home.
