Twilah Flint Obituary
She graduated from Stanton High School in 1948, salutatorian of her class. She went on to Davenport Business College and graduated with honors from their 36 month advanced accounting course in 1952. This course prepared students to be CPA's. She moved to California in 1957 and married Wayne E. Flint on June 20, 1959 in Vista, California. She returned to work after her children were all in school, and worked at Eight Cap Inc. for 20 years as Vice President of Finance.
Twilah enjoyed reading, cooking, flowers and traveling. She also very much loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren; and her church, Settlement Lutheran Church, where she was treasurer for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; late husband, Wayne, who passed on September 20, 2013; and one granddaughter, Bekke Horn. Surviving her are her five children, Dwayne Flint, LeAnn (James) Horn, Robin (Becky) Flint, Ronda (Misak) Dulbandzhyan, and Roxanne (Andy) Switzer. Also nine grandchildren, Jacob Rogers, Nicholas Dulbandzhyan (Taryn Muilenburg), Kirsten Dulbandzhyan (James Hawthorne), Hagop- JJ(Val) Dulbandzhyan, Ashleigh Horn, Paige (Cory) Hamlin, Todd Switzer (Alexis Schad), Jenna (Hunter) VeltKamp, Hailey Flint (David Conrad). Also eight great grandchildren, and two more expected this year.
Memorial services for Twilah will be held at Settlement Lutheran Church, Friday, September 6, 2024 at 11:00 am with Rev. Nan Dehnke as officiant. The family invites guests to join them for a time of fellowship and luncheon immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be given, in Twilah's name, to Settlement Lutheran Church, Gowen, MI. Memories and messages of condolence may be shared at www.hurstfh.com.
