Alfred "Ford" Burger, 76, passed away on June 9, 2022, trading this earthly home for his heavenly home. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Glenda Burger; son, Randall (Rhonda) Burger; daughters, Teresa Mills, Kathy (Doug) Cable, Angela (Guy) Branaman; grandchildren, Virginia (Kevin Lee) Lawson, Kristyn (Brian) Wright, Christopher (Melodie) Cable, Paulette Branaman, Laura Mills, Calvin Mills IV; great-grandchildren, Kalli Clark, Sophie Cable, and two more on the way. Ford was born to Alfred Clarence Burger and Elsie Lucille (Hamby) Burger on December 19, 1945. To know him was to love him and laugh with him. He never met a stranger, and his humor left a lasting impression on everyone that passed his way. Ford had a faithful testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ and served as a deacon at Midway Baptist Church. His wit, lightheartedness, and legacy of love will be missed. He is preceded in death by father, Alfred Burger; mother, Elsie Burger; sister, Juanita Gunter; brother, William (Bill) Burger; half-brother, Boyd Burger; half-sister, Iris (Burger); granddaughter, Leah Lawson; and grandson, Robert Branaman. Receiving of friends will be held at Miller Funeral Home on Monday, June 13, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Service to follow. Graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 14, at Louisville Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Don Woody will be officiating.
