Christopher Haun Obituary

Christopher Cartwright Haun

Born: January 6, 1978 | Died: June 15, 2025

Christopher Cartwright Haun, 47, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025, at his residence in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Chris was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on January 6, 1978, and was a graduate of the Webb School of Knoxville and a graduate of Maryville College and a member of Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church. He was an avid tennis player and was a pro at the Kiawah Island Tennis Center in his twenties before moving into medical sales. Chris was a big kid at heart and his three girls were his world. He did not set out to be a single father, he set out to be the best father. He poured himself into three beautiful daughters engaging their wonderment with his own. He was so proud of who they were becoming and embraced their individuality. Chris loved his family and was remarkably close to his brothers and his parents. He was a phenomenal friend, never judgmental, offered wisdom in a special way, analytical and chose to look at the positive side of life. He will be greatly missed by so many.

Chris is preceded in death by his precious son, George. He is survived by his daughters, Charlotte Cartwright Haun, Grace Katharine Haun and Caroline Knight Haun; his parents, Dr. Louis Eugene Haun, Jr. and Katharine Alden Haun; his brothers, Louis Eugene Haun, III and his wife Deven, and Dr. Alden Kirkpatrick Haun and his wife Ashley. Nephews, Robert Taylor Haun and Louis Eugene Haun IV; nieces, Katharine Alden Haun and Adelaide Elizabeth Haun; and several lifetime friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Memorial Cemetery with the Reverend Mark Lampley presiding.
