Cynthia Arsenault Obituary

Punta Gorda, Fla. - Cynthia A. Arsenault, 41, of Punta Gorda, formerly of East Lyme, passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at home, after a long struggle with diabetes complications.

Cynthia was born on Dec. 6, 1970, in Norwich, and graduated from East Lyme High School in 1988. She graduated from Ridley Lowell Business & Technical Institute, and attended Three Rivers Community College, and the University of Connecticut. She was last employed as a commercial project administrator for Carlin Contracting Co., Inc.

Cynthia was a humanitarian who dedicated her life caring for her family and friends. She also devoted most of her time to her beloved animals, My April Morning, Scooter, Nikki, Gage, Andy, and Snick. She was an avid equestrian who was decorated with many ribbons and trophies, and a proud volunteer instructor for High Hopes Therapeutic Riding, Inc., in Old Lyme. Cynthia was a loyal Red Sox fan and enjoyed attending baseball games in her free time.

Cynthia's memory will be forever cherished by her surviving mother and best friend, Carol Arsenault of Punta Gorda, Fla.; her sister and husband, Cheryl and Patrick Cook, of East Lyme, her sister, Andrea Arsenault, of Port Charlotte, Fla., and her sister and husband, Caryl and Harry Glock, of Niantic. She will also be treasured by her four nieces, Caroline Cook, Danielle Francis, and Chole and Bailee Glock; and her two nephews, Michael Cook, and Jacob Glock.

Cynthia is now united peacefully with her late father, Andrew (Tony) Arsenault of Punta Gorda, Fla.

A memorial service in her honor will be held in Niantic, at a later date to be announced.

As an expression of her devotion to animals, Cynthia made many donations to the Humane Society of America, and her final donations were made to the Animal Welfare League of Port Charlotte, Fla. Donations may be made in her name to ASPCA.

Cyndi's grace, humility, and kindness touched so many lives. She will be warmly embraced by all who knew her.

She came to us softly in the evening. She left without a whisper in the morning. We love you Cyn.

Carol, Cheryl, Andrea, and Caryl,
I am so sorry you have lost your beloved daughter, sister and friend. Cyndi was one of the most fiercely loyal person I have ever known. Thoughts and memories have been dancing through my head since I heard the tragic news. As you are all well aware words can not express my heartfelt condolences that go out to you all. Even after all these years she still sent me a birthday wish every year. She was so loving and kind and compassionate. I will miss her dearly.

Mom, Cheryl, Andrea,
We are very sorry that Cyndi is no longer with us. We all loved her so dearly and know how much she loved all of us. May she rest peacefully now with Dad and feel no more pain. This is truly the hardest loss and we will be strong for each other and also for her. As much as it hurts we know she would wnat us to go on. Cyndi was one of a kind and throughout all of her suffering she did not stop smiling, she went on caring for others. We love and miss her terribly. We have lossed our Cyndi but the heaven's above have received their Angel of beauty. With our love.
