Dorothy Giuliano Obituary

East Lyme - Dorothy J. Giuliano, 58, of Niantic, wife of Jack A. Giuliano, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, at home.

She was born in New London, the daughter of Fred and Dorothy Coyle of Niantic. She was a graduate of New London High School, class of 1974, and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She worked at the family business, Giuliano's Bakery in Niantic, alongside her husband Jack.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her children, Dorothy Medina and her husband, John, of Groton, Penny Meador and her husband, Steve, of Sanford, Fla., Joseph Giuliano and his fiancée, Kristin Cassidy, of Niantic; a brother John Coyle and his wife, Kathy, of Texas; two sisters, Betsy Rowe and her fiancé, Art, and Carole Coyle, both of Niantic. She has seven grandchildren, Dottie, Joeanna, Eion, Becky, Ariel, Jazzy, and Jackie Noodle.

A funeral liturgy will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday in St. Agnes Church. Interment will be private at a later date. Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New London Cancer Center, Guardian Fund, 196 Parkway South, Suite 303, Waterford, CT 06385.

Dottie, I will miss you sooo much, the cancer center will never be the same for me, you made it fun.
